I'm just a girl trying to share my thoughts about life, religion, and spirituality. All with a sense of humor that I personally think is hilarious. I'm also a Scorpio.
Day one. I'm in quarantine and I keep seeing these posts on facebook about finding your passion and doing something you've never done before. You don't know me yet, but give it some time. You'll come to realize that there's absolutely no way I'm going on some health journey and the thought of a hike makes me cringe. No judgment for those of you embracing your new athleticism; I actually thoroughly enjoy watching your inspirational posts.. but they're not working yet. I like to write and sometimes I think I'm good at it. And I like to think about things. Some people say I'm smart but I'm not sure what that means. I get super curious and sometimes dive too deep. Perhaps an obsessive personality? If I'm in, I'm ALL in. I love true crime and dateline. To the point where I've watched every JonBenet documentary made more than once. More than twice. I got over it, but I was at one point so obsessed with indoor tanning that I went every single day before my college class. I would walk in looking like a beet with probable beads of sweat running down my face. But I was committed. Anyway.. I like religion and spirituality and the idea of faith and believing in something. I watched "The Bible" series when it came out, and with murder and tanning, I was hooked. I guess it's slightly different. I've gone to Church and I still go from time to time, I pray, and I believe. But I don't want anything forced on me and I find most people to be in a similar space. So this blog is for you. The kinda Christians. Or the fully Christians. Or the non believers or confused or whatever. This is a safe space, no judgment. I just want to talk about things without pressure and with a dash of humor. Speaking of safe spaces, I'm not going to tell you who I voted for, although you might soon find out. And I'm okay with that, too.
The Plan
A fun lifestyle blog that works through different lessons and verses from the bible. Not preachy, just real.
Let's be honest, I don't how often this will happen. But when it does, it will be an introduction to a scripture and how it applies to the everyday individual living in 2020. If it's starting to get a little heavy on the Jesus, maybe we'll focus on a specific life quote, a current event, or a breakfast cereal daily review. Just kidding on that last one.. maybe. I mean if the people want it, I'll do it. And by people, I mean my mom.
UP NEXT
So that's it for now. I'm waiting on amazon to bring me my new Bible. Until then, stay home. Quarantine. I haven't seen a single soul in 6 days. Do I like it? Yes. But I'm also doing it to save the world. And you can, too. Now is the time I say my cute and clever catch phrase that signs off every blog.
Eat. Sleep. Pray.
I'm open to suggestions.
xoxo (but air hugs. actually don't come close to me. even if we didn't have a national crisis)
